Somedays ago i published a post about WAKLMAN 2.0 on our phones (P990i, M600, P1i) from W950 but i didn’t explain about how to install it, well, this time no only i’m going to teach you how to install, also i going to teach you how to put W960 skin for your phone and you can view a video of my phone above.
First of all download the WALKMAN package at the bottom of this post. Extract it’s content. I going to call the uncompresed folder “WALKMAN folder” on the next steps. To do this it’s supposed taht you already have unlocked the protected files on UIQ, if don’t you can read the tutorial HERE.
- You can see 4 folders inside the WALKMAN folder: private, shared, resource and sys. Copy the entire folder with the 4 folders on your phone.
- Using Swiss Manager Pro, go to the folder that you passed for your phone and go to the folder called private\10003a3f\import\Apps and copy the file that’s inside named WalkmanPlayer_reg.rsc.
- Paste the file into C:\private\10003a3f\import\Apps .
- Return to WALKMAN folder, go to private\10202be9 and copy the file named 200011FD.txt .
- Paste the file into C:\private\10202be9 .
- Return to the WALKMAN folder, go to private\200011FD and inside you can see 4 files (three images and other file) and a folder called default. Copy all the 4 files and the folder.
- Paste the files and the folder into C:\private\200011FD .
- Return to the WALKMAN folder, go to resource\Apps and inside you can see 6 files. Copy all the 6 files.
- Paste the files into C:\resource\Apps .
- Return to the WALKMAN folder, go to resource\Plugins and inside you can see 1 file called WPSPlaybackIconsLIB.RSC. Copy that file.
- Paste the files into C:\resource\Plugins .
- Return to the WALKMAN folder, go to resource and copy the folder named WPSPlaybackIconsLIB.
- Paste the folder into C:\resource .
- Return to the WALKMAN folder, go to sys\bin and inside you can see 6 files. Copy all the 6 files.
- Paste the files into C:\sys\bin .
- Return to the WALKMAN folder, go to sys\hash and inside you can see 6 files. Copy all the 6 files.
- Paste the files into C:\sys\hash .
- Return to the WALKMAN folder, go to shared and inside you can see a folder named kastor and a file named powervr.ini . Copy the folder and the file.
- Paste the folder and the file into C:\shared .
- Well done. Now you can go to Main Menu -> Tools and inside you have to find an application named WALKMAN, there’s the walkman player.

Hi, I did as you instructed but could not find any walkman on my phone. My phone is p990i and during the installation I could not find the folder c:/private/20011FD so I created one by myself and copied the file inside it.
I even restarted my phone but there was no walkman inside tools.

it’s not working with m600, though there is a icon
of walkman yet i can not b opened.there is no folder named 200011fd in c/privat folder. i have copy 4 files n one deflt folder in 20000fbd inisteed of. plzzzzzzzzzzzzzz hlp me what should i do in step 7

this is not working. i have a problem where to install this.in phone memory or in memory card. my phone is not sowing the folders which you have mentioned. its not working pls tell me how to solve this problem.

Hmm, what’s your phone model and which application are you using to see those folders? SMP or Xplore?

i feel eager and burning desire to see the walkman player working on my M600, plz hlp me , i bg for this application.

Well, i only can recommend to create the folder for yourself in the original place, but is strange that a lot of people with M600 have this problem, considering that the original mod was realized on M600 by dark_skeleton.

walkman is working now in my m600 , what i had done is just updated my sonyericsson software. so i want to say all m600 users 1st of all update ur software from sonyericsson’s link and then transfer all files in required file.
2ndly there was no folder named 200011fd in c/private so i copy whole folder into c/private.
thats all now it’s working fantasticly. yahooo
all m600 users should do the same as i did

uiq dear u need not to b worry about m600 users just ask them to updat there seus( sonyericsson updat servs) by updating ……
there m600 100% will be able to work with walkman with 3.0 skin
