Well, like i said in other posts, the boom right now is the access to protected folders, thing that enable to do a lot of modifications on the phones, and one of them is to change the menu icons. Today we are going to learn how to change those icons.

First of all we need to have access to the protected folders on our phone, if you haven´t do yet you can view a little tutorial HERE!

After you can access to the protected folders, you are going to follow the next steps:

  1. Download the next icon package, this is a package extracted from WALKMAN 3.0 style by B.U.S.T.E.R. , it contains all the icons for the menu and the icons of the standby screen: ICONS PACKAGE.
  2. Extract the files and put on the memory stick of your phone, any ubication.
  3. Open Swiss Manager Pro (before that open CapsSwitch that you installed in the tutorial about how to access UIQ protected folders and press the button Switch to read a message that says “Caps are switched OFF”) and go to the folder where you have the files of the icon package.
  4. Copy all the files and go to C:\Resource\Apps\ and paste the files in that folder. Probably it appears you some messages that says “ALaunchIcon.mbm will be overwritten” and you press YES to those messages.
  5. That is!!! In some situations, when you open the Main menu you will see the changes inmediately, if not you can do 2 things: In Swiss Manager Pro go to “Task” nail, and here search for an application called Main menu (to view that application you have to configure SMP to view all the applications, even the system applications, the steps are in the article HOW TO CONFIGURE SWISS MANAGER PRO) select the application with the cursor and press the button to kill application, then go to the standby screen and press the access to the Main menu; or you can restart your phone and see the changes.

Is a little bit strange that it doesn’t works for you renesis and pycomputing. Well try to do the same but in C: and D: also, maybe it works of that way.

Intenten sustituyendo tambien en D: del mismo modo que como lo hicieron en C: yo tratare de repetir el proceso de nuevo para ver si me falla aunque es algo extraño porque el paquete lo cree de los archivos que extrje de mi telefono.

My main menu icons are fine now, just had to reboot the phone, but the icons on the standby menu (minus activity menu and main menu) still haven’t changed and I’ve tried copying the file to D:/resource to no avail. Lastly, where do I get the files for you bottom taskbar icons? They’re really nice, and oh, excellent work on the tutorials, God bless

After installing the menu icons, everything went well except that now I can’t access my Media Player, the prompt “folder not found” keeps appearing everytime I try to open it. I can’t live without my mediaplayer. If you happened to make a backup, hope you can share it for us who didn’t :-(

Yes, I have installed Walkman 2.0, but my Media Player stopped functioning right after I changed the menu icons. I didn’t delete anything at all, in fact when I transferred the menu icon files to the C:Resourceappsfolder, i wasn’t even asked if I would like to overwrite any files
